An antique papier maché biscuit box for Biscuits Olibet, Chinese lacquer style decoration, lion dance scene all around. Jean-Honoré Olibet (1817-1891) was a baker in Bordeaux France. He and his sons were the first bakers in France that started industrial production of a till then artisan product. They are also seen as the first ones using advertising. The box is in good condition, hinge perfect, minor signs of age, dimensions about 10.5 x 11.5cm., 4.1 x 5". Height 8.5 cm., 3.75".
